The Salaulim Dam on the Salaulim River in Sanguem Taluka is a picturesque location whose crystal clear waters make a pleasant sight against the backdrop of the blue mountains. The Salaulim Irrigation Project is vital to Goa’s irrigation, and drinking water needs and construction on the project was completed in 2000.
The Dam is situated 12 kms from Curchorem, which is a small town in Quepem Taluka located 80 kms south east of Panaji. The major railway station is at Margao at a distance of 39 kms. The airport at Dabolim is 64 kms away. It is recommended that you go to the Dam with your own vehicle as public transport systems tend to be irregular and erratic.
