    Palolem is most preferred by travelers who are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation to get better acquainted with the serenity of Goa. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa and is rightfully dubbed ‘Paradise beach’. There are a few temples and a wildlife sanctuary to explore around Palolem.

    Getting there

    Taking a bus to Palolem takes about 90 mins from the Margao bus stand (36 kms). The route is scenic and idyllic. Taxis are available from the closest Railway Station at Canacona which is 3 kms away, and from the Dabolim Airport (60 kms) which is around two hours away. Palolem is ideal to explore on foot.

    • Palolem has dolphin trips as well as water sports that range from self-kayaking to serene boat rides. These rides are available after the monsoons from October to late April.
    • The butterfly island is a small pretty island that can be reached by ferry from Palolem beach. The rocky boulders and calm waters of the island is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery. One can also observe the occasional dolphin.
    • Palolem sees ‘silent noise’ headphone parties where one can put on earphones and dance the night away, without disturbing the peace and quiet of the area.
      Goa Jungle Adventure offers exclusive trips into the southern jungle for half day trips and longer one’s as well. Adventure lovers can go canyoning, rafting or parapente riding. The club is closed during the monsoons and is open from mid October to April.
