    One of the most preferred locations by honeymooners, Mandrem beach is an isolated beach known for its cashew nut plantations, stone carvings and occasional glimpses of the famous Olive Ridley marine turtles. It is located on the north of Ashvem towards Arambol beach.

    Getting there

    The Dabolim airport is at a distance of 56 kms from Mandrem, and a cab takes about 80 minutes to get to Mandrem. The closest railway station is at Pernem at a distance of 18 kms. There are taxis as well as local buses that travel to Mandrem from Panaji which is 32 kms away.

    • There are a number of restaurants along the coastline, End of the World cafĂ© being a regular favorite among tourists. Open during season time, it offers fine dining with a variety of seafood.
    • Mandrem village has a number of temples which includes the famed Sri Bhagavati temple, a 500 year old shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga. Dasshera and the annual Zatra Festival held here in December are attended by thousands of devotees every year.
