    Located 8 kms from Margao, Colva is a picturesque village in south Goa that is well known for its white sandy beach and tranquil atmosphere. The village is lined by beautiful villas and scenic landscapes and is visited by travellers for a respite of calm from the bustling lively atmosphere of the north.

    Getting there

    The closest railway station is at Margao and is 7 kms away. There are a number of taxis and auto-rickshaws that will take you to the beach. The Dabolim airport is 28 kms away from Colva. There are regular buses that travel in and around Colva.

    • The ‘Menino Jesus’ statue at the local church of Our Lady of Mercy (Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Piedade) is visited by devout travellers throughout the year and is famous for its annual festival ‘Fama of Menino Jesus’ held in October.
    • The church is also renowned for its huge fair that takes place during festival time.
    • Colva beach is ideal for a good swim and has a lot of water sport activities during season time.
