One of the most popular destinations of Goa, the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary along with the Mollem national park forms one of the biggest wildlife protected areas of Goa. Dabolim airport is 68 kms away, and one can travel to the sanctuary by road via Margao, Ponda and Tiska. The closest railway station is at Collem (6 kms), although not many trains stop here. The Margao railway station serves as the main station at a distance of 44 kms. You can book a taxi from the station to get to the sanctuary. Most interstate buses travel from Panaji through the Panaji-Ponda-Tiska-Mollem route (57 km) or through Margao from the Margao-Ponda-Tiska-Mollem route (42 km).
