    Famous for its party culture and vivacious nightlife, Anjuna is located at around 18kms from Panjim and was known for its rave parties that used to be organized by hippies in the 1950’s and 1960’s. It is also known for its black rock formations on the shorelines that spread into the sea, popularly known as the Jewel of Anjuna.

    Getting there

    Anjuna has buses that ply to the Mapusa Bus Stand and back every 15 minutes. The bus journey takes about 30-45 minutes. The closest railway station is 20 kms away at Thivim, and the airport at Dabolim is 47 kms away.

    • The Anjuna flea market occurs every Wednesday from dawn to dusk in the months of September to March and is an ideal place to visit to carry home trinkets and souvenirs as well as other basic amenities.
    • There are a number of good places offering fine dining in varied cuisines. However, the German Bakery at Anjuna is a great place to unwind and offers varied delicacies in meals and desserts. Closed during off-season, German Bakery is open from September to March during season time.
    • The Brahmani Yoga centre, open from November to March, is a convenient drop-in centre which offers fascinating classes in ashtanga, kundalini yoga as well as ‘superhero-acro flow yoga and other basic exercises.
    • There are a number of parties and themed events that occur along the coastline at Curlies, UV bar among others, for a fun night out.
    • Anjuna also has a lifestyle boutique called ‘Artjuna’ complete with kids play area that showcases furniture, accessories, antique wares, and even houses an in-built cafe that offers beverages, sandwiches and milkshakes.
    • Splashdown is Goa’s first water park with a lot of fun rides to rediscover the child in you. Open throughout the year, Splashdown has some awesome water slides and is a great place to spend a fun-filled memorable day.
